Description
Commercial Pilot License (CPL) training is a professional aviation programme that qualifies candidates to fly commercial aircraft. It involves ground school, simulator training and extensive flying hours under the supervision of certified flight instructors.
Students study aerodynamics, navigation, meteorology, aviation law, aircraft systems and instrument flying, while logging the required flying hours (typically 200+) to qualify for the CPL. Training is conducted at DGCA-approved flying schools in India or abroad.
After obtaining the CPL and completing type-rating training, pilots are employed by airlines, charter companies and cargo operators. It is a high-cost, high-reward career with excellent pay and the opportunity to travel the world.
