The Diploma in Computer Engineering / IT Support is a three-year polytechnic course that trains students in computer hardware, software, networking and IT support. It is designed for early entry into the IT and software industry as junior developers or IT support specialists.
Students learn programming (C, Java, Python), computer hardware and assembly, operating systems, computer networks, database basics, web technologies and IT troubleshooting. The course combines classroom learning with lab work, projects and industry internships.
Graduates work as junior software developers, IT support specialists, hardware and network technicians, system administrators and technical support executives in IT companies, corporates, schools and service centres. The diploma also serves as a base for B.Tech (lateral entry) or BCA.
