Description

The Diploma in Physiotherapy is a healthcare course that trains students as physiotherapy assistants in physical rehabilitation, exercise therapy and patient care. It is designed for early entry into the rehabilitation and physiotherapy workforce.

Students learn human anatomy and physiology, kinesiology, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, manual therapy, orthopaedic and neurological rehabilitation, and patient handling. The course combines classroom learning with clinical training at hospitals and rehab centres.

Graduates work as physiotherapy assistants, rehab assistants, exercise therapists and physiotherapy technicians in hospitals, orthopaedic clinics, sports rehab centres and home-care services.

Admission is merit-based — institutes admit on Class 10 / 12 marks; some conduct a basic entrance test.

Senior assistants and therapists earn more with experience.

Senior (7+ yrs / Rehab Supervisor)

₹7 – ₹12+ LPA

Rehab supervisors at large hospitals earn well above this range.
