Description
ITI Draftsman (Civil/Mechanical) is a two-year vocational course under the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) framework that trains students in engineering drawing, AutoCAD and structural / mechanical blueprints. It is designed for quick entry into the drafting and design support workforce.
Students learn engineering drawing, AutoCAD (2D and 3D), structural blueprints, mechanical drawings, building plans, estimation basics and CAD standards. The course is highly practical with computer lab training and internships with architects, engineers and contractors.
Graduates work as draftsmen, CAD operators, design assistants and detailing executives in architecture firms, civil engineering companies, mechanical design firms and construction companies. The trade has consistent demand in construction and manufacturing.
