Description
ITI Fitter is a two-year vocational course under the Industrial Training Institute (ITI) framework that provides practical training in mechanical assembly, metalwork, fitting and equipment maintenance. It is designed for quick entry into the mechanical and manufacturing trade.
Students learn bench fitting, marking, filing, drilling, cutting, welding basics, mechanical assembly, blueprint reading and equipment maintenance. The course is highly practical with workshop training and industry apprenticeships.
Graduates work as fitters, maintenance technicians, assembly technicians and mechanical helpers in factories, manufacturing plants, refineries, shipyards and construction. The trade has strong demand in manufacturing and heavy industry.
